How to measure your Belgian Malinois dog for good fit Collar:
Please be advised that:
- For buckled collar when you specify neck size we will make a collar fit on central hole.
- There will be totally 5 holes and distance between each 2 holes is 1 inch (25 mm).
- For example: your dog's neck size is 20 inch (50 cm). A collar will fit on central hole at 20 inch (50 cm).
- There will be 2 smaller size holes - 18 inch (45 cm) and 19 inch (47.5 cm).
- There will be 2 bigger size holes - 21 inch (52.5 cm) and 22 inch (55 cm).
- There will also be tip of the collar after last hole about 2 inch long (5 cm).
- Those are handcrafted collars and some sizes will differ a little (not in significant way).
- Two ply leather collars and padded leather collars are 1 inch bigger to make sure that it will fit your dog.
Our Classic Spiked Dog Collar is made of selected natural leather of the highest quality. Thanks to this material the collar strap is flexible and at the same time strong enough. It does’t change much its shape while constant usage and doesn’t stretch. Moreover, the soft structure of the leather is pleasant even for sensitive skin and almost never causes irritation.
This model has durable decorative elements and reliable fittings. All the metal details are rustproof, because they are plated with protective nickel covering that secures the hardware from damage. To avoid falling out of these fittings the spikes are hand set with rivets and the area near the buckle and D-ring is strengthened with rivets too. In such a way any metal part of this supply can’t be lost.
One benefit feature of our Spiked Leather Collar is its scheme of fastening. The D-ring is situated near the buckle, so to fix the collar end with adjustable holes to the buckle firstly it should go through the D-ring. This construction has its important purpose - to distribute the pulling force not only on the buckle but on the wider are. It allows to prevent breaks of the leather strap near the buckle, because in the most cases it is the most spread problem.
